Microsoft has begun testing a new Describe Image feature for Copilot Plus PCs. It uses AI to generate text descriptions of images, graphs, and charts on the screen. The feature will appear in the Click to Do menu and is now available to Windows Insiders on Snapdragon-powered PCs. Support for Intel and AMD devices is expected to be available soon.
The build also includes a new security feature, Administrator Protection. It limits permanent administrator rights, allowing you to perform actions with administrator rights only when necessary. You can enable it in the security settings.
Among other changes:
- Updated the appearance of system dialogs for accessing the camera, microphone, and geolocation;
- removed support for PowerShell 2.0;
- Improved performance when unpacking ZIP archives;
- Fixed issues with taskbar animations and updated app icons;
- reduced CPU load in Dynamic Lighting;
- fixed cursor synchronization in games after switching windows;
- Fixed crashes in the language settings menu.
Some users may experience installation errors (0x80070005) or bugs in Group Policy Editor. There may also be issues with Xbox Bluetooth controllers and delays when launching Click to Do for the first time on non-Snapdragon devices.
