Windows Insiders running Canary or Dev builds will be able to test a new feature in the Snipping Tool — the tool will now allow you to copy text from an image without having to create a screenshot, TechSpot reports.
In Windows 11, the Snipping Tool already has the ability to extract text from screenshots. However, in Insider builds, this feature will become even more convenient: just press Win + Shift + S and select the appropriate tool to immediately extract the text — without the need to save the screenshot.
Users will be able to choose which text fragment to copy, highlight individual lines, or copy the entire content at once. There will also be an additional menu with useful options — for example, the ability to automatically remove all spaces between lines.
