A new feature has appeared in the Dev Channel build of Windows 11 that will help users understand how limited RAM or a weak graphics card affect the performance of their computer.

The test feature was discovered by Windows Insider phantomofearth, who shared the find on social media. In the screenshot posted, you can see a new FAQ page in the System > About settings.

This page helps Windows 11 users learn how RAM and graphics card affect the overall performance of their computer. For example, the screenshot below tells the user that a graphics card with less than 4GB of video memory may cause problems when playing games or playing intensive videos.

The system also estimates the amount of RAM. 4 to 8 GB may be enough for everyday tasks, but more demanding programs or games may have problems.

It's unclear at this time whether this page will be static, only assessing RAM and video memory, or whether it will be customized for each system. It's also unclear when the feature will be available in the stable version of Windows 11.
