Windows 11 gets an update with new AI features, including Copilot Vision
Microsoft has begun a phased rollout of new AI-powered features in Windows 11 to all users. The main innovation is Copilot Vision, a tool that allows you to scan the contents of your screen and ask questions about open apps and web pages.
Copilot Vision is available through the Copilot app and works on all Windows 11 PCs. It allows you to ask, among other things, how to improve a photo or perform a specific task based on what the user sees on the screen.
Copilot Plus computers will also feature an AI agent that will help you find the right sections and will be able to make changes to the system - for example, enable silent mode or connect a Bluetooth device.
Another feature that enhances Copilot Plus PC is Click to Do. It is activated by pressing the Windows key and the left mouse button, allowing you to quickly perform actions such as summarizing text or creating a document in Word. New actions include reading coaching with Reading Coach, scheduling a meeting in Teams, and generating text.
In addition, Copilot Plus PCs will receive new features in Paint (sticker generator and object selection tool), as well as the ability to improve lighting in Photos and create a "perfect screenshot" using the Snipping Tool.
The update also adds new non-AI features, including a color picker in the Snipping Tool and a mechanism to automatically fix errors that cause unexpected reboots.
Microsoft says that all of the new features will be rolling out gradually over the next month. Some of them are already available in a previous Windows update or through the Microsoft Store.
