WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, is testing new features to improve the interface during voice and video calls, WABetaInfo reports. Several new features have been spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp 2.25.10.16 for Android, which could soon be available to all users.
New features include a Mute button that lets you answer a call with your microphone muted. It will appear in the notification bar between the Decline and Answer buttons when you receive a call. This is useful if you just want to listen to the other person. You'll also be able to accept video calls with your camera turned off, which provides more privacy, especially when receiving calls from unknown numbers.
Another new feature is emoji reactions during video calls. Users will be able to express their emotions using emojis, making communication more interactive and interesting. These features are already available to a limited number of users in beta and are expected to be available to the general public in the coming months.
