WhatsApp has received an update with many new features
WhatsApp has received an update that includes 11 new features. The company published an overview of these innovations on its own blog. The most interesting feature is the transcription of voice messages.
Here is a list of all the new features of WhatsApp:
1. An "Online" indicator has appeared in group chats, showing which participants are online.
2. You can now customize notifications in group chats. The new "Notify about" option lets you choose only key events, including @mentions, direct replies, and messages from saved contacts only.
3. You can create events in personal chats. You can also respond to an invitation with "Can" to invite one more guest, add an end date and time for long-running events, and pin the event to the conversation.
4. You can now simply tap another user's reaction below a message to duplicate it, instead of tapping it separately in the reaction selector.

6. On iPhone, you can now choose WhatsApp as the default messenger.
7. During video calls on the iPhone, you can now zoom in using a pinch gesture
8. You can also now add users to an ongoing call, instead of creating a separate call for multiple participants
9. Channel administrators can now also record short videos and share them with subscribers.
10. Messenger will be able to transcribe voice messages for users who are unable to listen to them
11. Channel admins will now be able to generate and share a QR code that will lead to their channel.
