Warner Bros. has released the confirmed cast list for the Harry Potter series

Warner Bros. Discovery has officially announced the first confirmed cast list for HBO's Harry Potter reboot. While only the adult cast has been revealed, who will play the three main characters is still unknown.

Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore will be played by six-time Emmy Award winner John Lithgow, Janet McTeer will join the show as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu will play Severus Snape, Nick Frost will play Hagrid, Luke Tallon will play Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse will play Argus Filch.

"We’re delighted to have such extraordinary talent onboard, and we can’t wait to see them bring these beloved characters to new life," said showrunners Francesca Gardiner and Marc Mylod.

The series is expected to run for more than a decade, with Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslaw saying last year that the series is set to premiere in 2026.
