Warner Bros.'s gaming division has closed three of its studios and canceled development of the Wonder Woman game, which was being developed by Monolith Productions, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reported.

Monolith Productions, Player First Games, and Warner Bros. Games San Diego have closed. The company has undergone a major restructuring and is focusing its efforts on its core franchises: Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, DC, and Game of Thrones. This is somewhat confusing, as Wonder Woman is part of the DC Universe, so it's likely Batman is the one in question.

Monolith Productions was founded in 1994 and is known for developing game series such as FEAR, Condemned, and Middle-earth. Player First Games created MultiVersus, a game that became a competitor to Super Smash Bros., but failed to meet Warner Bros.' expectations, so the game's servers will be shut down in May 2025.

Warner Bros. still can't stabilize its gaming division. In addition to MultiVersus, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which was supposed to be a game-as-a-service but was discontinued less than a year after its release, was also a financial failure. A Bloomberg report said that WB's gaming division suffered a loss of $300 million last year.
