Deep Silver announced Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 4

- 20 August, 11:41 AM

Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War IV was revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live. The game will be released on PC in 2026. It is being developed by German studio King Art Games, known for Iron Harvest, and published by Deep Silver. This is the first Dawn of War game not created by Relic Entertainment, the creators of the original trilogy, which was released in 2004.

Dawn of War IV is positioned as a return to the origins of the genre with an emphasis on classic real-time strategy. The game will feature four playable factions, including the debut of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Each faction will have its own story campaign with CGI splash screens and fully animated cutscenes. In total, the campaign will include over 70 missions, available for solo or cooperative play. The script was written by John French, the author of the official novels in the Warhammer 40K universe.

In addition to the story mode, the game will feature Last Stand, Skirmish, and multiplayer battles in 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 formats. There will also be the option to play against AI.

The game is now available to wishlist on Steam. The announcement follows the release of the remastered version of the original Dawn of War earlier this year.
