The developer of the popular photo editor VSCO has released Capture, a free photo app for iPhone, introduced in late June. It is available in the App Store and features the company's signature filters and presets.
As the developer points out, Capture was created for capturing moments in the moment. It will allow users to choose from over 50 real-time presets inspired by retro, modern, and vintage film styles.
In addition, users will have access to automatic and manual shooting settings, as well as RAW format for greater flexibility during editing. In the manual settings, you can find flash switching, exposure level, shutter speed, etc.
In manual settings mode, you can also use Bloom filters, which simulates the appearance of fog, as well as Halation, which adds a subtle glow around points of light and recreates the effect of vintage film.
All photos taken with Capture will automatically sync to the VSCO photo editor, where users will immediately have access to an even wider range of presets, filters, and other settings. You can also immediately publish finished shots to the VSCO social feed.
