Apple releases macOS Sequoia 15.4: what's new?
Apple has released macOS Sequoia 15.4. This is the fourth major update to the operating system since the launch of version 15 in September 2024, which adds several useful features for Mac users. This is reported by 9to5Mac.
Apple Mail will get a new categorization feature with the 15.4 update. The Mac app will feature categories like Transactions, Updates, and Ads, with important emails grouped together in a main section. Users will also have the option to opt out of the new features and revert to the previous interface.
Apple Intelligence has seen a few minor updates, mostly focused on supporting new languages, including German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Chinese, and Italian, and changing fonts.
Image Playground, which lets you generate images based on text queries, has a new feature that supports sketch style. The update also affects the Photos app for Mac, where users can now create collages of memories, just like on iOS.
With the release of macOS Sequoia 15.4, setting up a new Mac will be much easier thanks to support for the Quick Start feature. Users will be able to quickly transfer all the necessary settings by simply scanning a code that appears on the device's screen.
At the same time, Apple added several new emojis and widgets for the Apple Podcasts app, and also fixed numerous bugs and errors in the system.
Recall that Apple also released the stable version of iOS 18.4.
