Vivo has unveiled a prototype of its first mixed reality (MR) headset at the Boao Forum for Asia, Android Headlines reports.
The new device is called vivo Vision and has an appearance similar to the Apple Vision Pro . However, the company has not yet revealed the specifications of the headset. The manufacturer also did not specify the exact release date of the commercial version, only noting that it intends to "strengthen its real-time spatial computing capabilities for future applications in consumer robotics."
By the way, during the forum, the company also announced the creation of a robotics laboratory, called vivo Robotics Laboratory, which "marking a new strategic innovation track for the company."
The Chinese manufacturer says it will focus on developing the "brain" and "eyes" of robots, using its expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, big data models and imaging, as well as real-time capabilities for spatial computing that have been accumulated through the aforementioned vivo Vision MR device.
