Viber has introduced new free features for small businesses that should make communicating with customers more efficient. This update is part of Viber Business Profiles, launching in the fall of 2024.
As for the newest features, the first is the "customers" folder, which will allow you to store all your chats with customers in one place. Any chats started via QR codes, links, or business search will automatically appear in the new folder. Other chats can be added manually.
The second innovation of Viber is business calling. This update will give businesses the opportunity to allow customers to call them directly in the messenger, even if the owner's number is not specified. The feature will cover incoming and outgoing voice and video calls. For privacy, the owner's number will be hidden, and only the company name and logo will be displayed during the call.
The latest new feature is "Categories." This innovation will allow businesses on Viber to choose up to two categories for their profile that best describe their products or services. In addition, this will allow the company to better present its offerings and make it easier for customers to search.
"The new features continue our mission: to become a super app for both users and businesses. The updates will help small businesses in Ukraine achieve better business results, simplify attracting new customers and communicating with them," said Ofir Eyal, CEO of Rakuten Viber.
Business profiles appear in Viber search after being reviewed by the messenger’s moderation team. Users can find businesses by name or category, and search results adapt to the user’s location. Meanwhile, “Local Search” narrows down the search to a neighborhood or area.
