Activision has released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone, announcing the return of the Donetsk-inspired Verdansk map. The map will appear in the battle royale on April 3, 2025, as part of Season 3.

Verdansk was the first map to launch Call of Duty: Warzone in 2020. In addition, the map, or at least references to it, appeared in games in the franchise such as Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare III, and others.

In Call of Duty: Warzone, Verdansk has received some visual improvements compared to its original appearance in 2020. Activision has improved the details, lighting, access to some buildings, and reworked some moments, but the main elements of the map remain the same. In particular, the map still features versions of Donetsk International Airport and Donbas Arena, as well as several other recognizable elements reminiscent of Donetsk and other parts of Ukraine.

The map can accommodate up to 150 players at a time, and with the start of Season 3, players will be able to earn various rewards by completing missions in any of Verdansk's 12 zones. You can learn more about the upcoming update on the developer blog.
