- 20 August, 05:05 PM

Paradox Interactive and White Wolf have announced a new release date for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The game will be released on October 21st on PC and consoles. The announcement was made at Gamescom Opening Night Live, where a new trailer was also shown.

The protagonist Phyre will share consciousness with Detective Fabien of the Malkavian clan, who will help investigate a murder in Seattle and uncover a conspiracy within the vampire society. Players will play through part of the story on his behalf, immersing themselves in a neon-noir style storyline.

In addition to the standard edition, the game will also have a Deluxe Edition and a Premium Edition. The Deluxe will include the Santa Monica Memories DLC with decorative items for Phyre's apartment, while the Premium will add the Shadows & Silk DLC. It will unlock the Lasombra and Toreador clans, each with their own unique abilities and playstyle. Both DLCs will be available for purchase separately.

Those who pre-order will receive the Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox, a character housing item featuring music by the first game's composer, Rick Shaffer. Bloodlines 2 launches in October alongside other major releases including Ghost of Yotei, Battlefield 6, and The Outer Worlds 2.

The project had a long and complicated development history. The game was announced back in 2019, but due to numerous delays, the release was postponed several times. In 2021, Paradox Interactive transferred development from Hardsuit Labs to The Chinese Room studio. At one stage, there was even a threat of cancellation of the game, but later the developers continued work and regularly informed fans about the progress.
