OnLeaks and Android Headlines have published renders of the Galaxy Fold7 foldable smartphone, which Samsung is expected to unveil in July 2025. The smartphone will be noticeably thinner.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be just 4.5mm thick when unfolded and 9mm when folded, excluding the camera. That's 1.1mm thinner than the Galaxy Fold 6 and 0.4mm thinner than the Galaxy Fold 6 SE. The smartphone will also feature an 8.2-inch internal display and a 6.5-inch external display.
The smartphone is expected to feature the Galaxy-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, like the one found in the Galaxy S25 series. It's possible that Samsung could opt for the 7-core version that OPPO used in the Find N5 to improve thermal performance.
As for the battery, the Galaxy Fold7 is expected to feature the same 4400mAh battery as previous generations. However, given the optimizations and significant improvements in battery life in the Galaxy S25 series, we can expect similar improvements here as well.
It is also reported that the smartphone will receive a main camera with a 200-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 10-megapixel telephoto. The front display will house a 10-megapixel selfie camera, and the internal display will have a 4-megapixel camera under the display.
