Apple is preparing a Live Translation feature for AirPods that will allow you to translate personal conversations in real time, MacRumors reports.
Signs of the innovation were found in iOS 26 Beta 6 - the files for the Translate app contain an image of AirPods with the word "Hello" in different languages and a hint that the function will be activated by double-tapping.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously reported on the possibility of implementing such a feature. It could appear as early as the launch version of iOS 26 or in one of the next updates. Currently, Live Translation works in the Phone, Messages, and FaceTime apps, and integration with AirPods will expand it to offline communication.
It is previously known that the feature will be available on AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 and will likely require an iPhone with Apple Intelligence support.
