iPhone 17 Pro Max engineering sample appears in two unusual colors

Less than two days before the official launch of the iPhone 17 series, images of engineering samples of the iPhone 17 Pro Max have been released online. The photo was published by insider PhoneArt (formerly known as Ice Universe) on the social network X. The images show the back of the device in two new color options - orange and navy blue.

The entire body of the smartphone is not shown — this could have been done to preserve the anonymity of the source, as the background around the smartphone could reveal additional details of the leak, which would have consequences.

The photo clearly shows the main camera unit with a characteristic protrusion, which has a large area and is inherent only to the Pro series models. You can also see, under the metal protrusion, probably a glass part of the case, which indicates that the device supports wireless charging.

This suggests that Apple has indeed updated the smartphone's design and camera elements, as previously reported by insiders.

Previously, real iPhone 17 Pros were spotted in random street photos. However, according to PhoneArt, these engineering model photos are the closest to the real iPhone 17 Pro Max photos on the entire internet.

The company is expected to introduce new iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models with a number of exclusive features and possibly more vibrant case colors.
