US in talks with four different groups to sell TikTok — Trump
US President Donald Trump said his administration is in talks with four different groups about selling Chinese social media platform TikTok and that all options are acceptable, Reuters reports.
Asked whether a TikTok deal was expected soon, Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One: "it could."
"We're dealing with four different groups, and a lot of people want it ... all four are good," Trump added.
TikTok’s fate in the US remains uncertain after a law went into effect on January 19 that requires its owner, ByteDance, to sell the platform on national security grounds or face a ban. Trump, who took office on January 20, signed an executive order delaying the law for 75 days.
By the way, it also recently became known that the co-founder of Reddit has joined a group of investors who want to buy TikTok.
