Huawei Pura X unveiled: a unique foldable smartphone with a 16:10 aspect ratio and DeepSeek support
Huawei continues its experimentation with foldable form factors by introducing the Pura X. This is a unique foldable smartphone that can be used both horizontally and vertically thanks to its wide dimensions.
The LTPO screen on the front of the Pura X has a diagonal of 3.5 inches with a resolution of 980×980 pixels, a peak brightness of 2500 nits, an aspect ratio of 1:1, and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz.
Above the front screen is a quad-lens camera setup. It includes a 50MP f/1.6 RYYB main sensor, a 3.5x optical zoom module, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a color sensor.
The internal screen has a diagonal of 6.3 inches, an aspect ratio of 16:10, a resolution of 2120×1320 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120 Hz LTPO 2.0, a peak brightness of 2500 nits, and HDR support.
Yu Chengdong, Executive Director, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Huawei's Consumer Business and Smart Car Solutions, noted that the Pura X's wide screen gives it many advantages over traditional smartphones.
He emphasized that this device is convenient for viewing online content: the viewable area for short videos increases by 40%, and for images and text by 60%. The internal screen provides 30% more viewing area compared to smartphones with an aspect ratio of 16:9.
Pura X runs on Harmony OS 5. This smartphone uses DeepSeek generative AI. The device is equipped with a 4720 mAh battery. It supports 66W wired fast charging and 40W wireless fast charging.
Huawei Pura X is already available for order in China. The device costs from $ 1040. It is not yet known whether the new product will appear on the global market.
