As part of the very successful Kickstarter campaign for The Sinking City 2, Kyiv studio Frogwares announces a remaster of the first game in the series - The Sinking City.

Recall that the original open-world horror detective The Sinking City was released in 2019, but due to a conflict with publisher Frogwares, it was only in January 2024 that the rights to the game were regained.

The Sinking City was created on the Unreal Engine 4 engine, the new version will use Unreal Engine 5. This will allow both to improve the visual part of the game and to add some new features. The game's locations will be refined, with the addition of details and new objects; reflections will be improved; support for 4K textures, DLSS, FSR and TSR will appear; a photo mode will be added.

The Sinking City Remastered will be free for all owners of The Sinking City on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

In addition, Frogwares invites everyone to join the creation of The Sinking City 2 by recording their voice to be used in the game, and, if the developers choose your voice, to receive a mention in the credits. One random participant will also receive a physical copy of The Sinking City 2 Collector's Edition. Full terms and conditions can be found at the link.
