The walking simulator Ruinscape from Ukrainian studios MegobariGames and Games4Wonders has been released on Steam.
In this game, players are invited to explore the abandoned ruins of an ancient castle; solve puzzles; find hidden paths, treasures and artifacts; and uncover a story of betrayal, loss and forgotten glory.
Judging by the developers' video, this is a really calm and atmospheric walking simulator, without unnecessary game mechanics.
Ruinscape has Ukrainian text localization. Unfortunately, Russian is also supported. The game costs 124 UAH.
Following the release of Ruinscape, MegobariGames and Games4Wonders announced the start of work on a follow-up game in the same genre but with a slightly different setting – Secret of the Abbey. This project is scheduled to be released by the end of 2025.
