After six years of development, Lviv studio FantaJI Games is finally releasing the narrative simulator Hanako's Flower Shop on Steam.
Hanako's Flower Shop tells the story of a young girl who runs a flower shop. She tries to satisfy the demands of her customers and improve their mood. Hanako listens to their stories and tries to understand what is bothering them, so that she can express these feelings with the help of an intricate bouquet.
The game combines elements of a shop simulator with a sensual story that changes depending on your decisions. The main mechanic is the creation of bouquets, where each flower has a symbolic meaning. The compositions affect the development of relationships with customers, the course of events and the future of Hanako herself.
Hanako's Flower Shop is somewhat similar to such popular projects as Coffee Talk and Strange Horticulture. The narrative part of Hanako's Flower Shop is presented as a visual novel, but there are also many additional mechanics - creating bouquets by hand, searching for flowers, managing the store's inventory, etc.
The game has nice anime graphics and full localization and voice acting for three languages: Ukrainian, English, and… Japanese, because the game's authors are fascinated by the Land of the Rising Sun and met during Japanese language courses.
