74% of Ukrainians have a positive attitude towards freelancing, seeing freedom in this approach, but also understanding the risks, which is why 44% have never freelanced and do not plan to do so in the future. These are the results of a new Rakuten Viber survey, in which more than 15 thousand Ukrainians participated.

The answers to the question "How do you feel about freelancing and self-employment?" were distributed as follows:

  • Good, self-employment gives freedom and independence — 44%;
  • Rather positive, but there are risks — 30%;
  • I don't care, I don't do that — 21%;
  • Rather negative, I don't see stability — 3%;
  • Negatively, I consider it an unreliable source of income — 2%.

The Rakuten Viber team recently surveyed Ukrainians about whether they had ever freelanced or would like to do so in the future. According to the results, only 26% of respondents had such experience, while the rest of the answers were distributed as follows:

  • I haven't been and don't plan to, I don't like this option — 44%;
  • I haven't had such experience, but I want to try it — 30%;
  • I had experience, but I don't work like that now — 12%;
  • Yes, and I still work like that — 10%;
  • There was an experience, but it did not end in success — 4%.
