Lviv studio Hologryph and Kyiv-based TowerHaus, in collaboration with publisher tinyBuild, announced that the multiplayer shooter SAND will be released in early access on Steam on April 3, 2025.

With the release in early access, the game will receive a number of improvements and new features. For example, SAND will introduce NPC zombies to roam the ruins and hunt players, as well as new cities, additional locations, and more treasures.

The developers have also improved the handling of the mobile fortresses of the Tramplers. In addition, in early access, players will receive new options for customizing them, including additional compartments, chassis and weapons.

During the early access period, the developers plan to release regular updates that will add new items, locations, and other improvements to the game. The SAND development roadmap will be published along with its release on Steam on April 3. At that time, they promise to show a surprise for Ukrainian players.

As a reminder, SAND is a multiplayer PvPvE first-person shooter where teams of up to six players can build and upgrade mobile fortresses called Tramplers, which they use to survive in the harsh desert conditions. The game's heroes are desperate adventurers who became part of the space expansion of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the early 20th century. Once on the planet Sofia, they have to build their walkers, engage in battles with other Tramplers and their crews, and find many different treasures.

Despite the fact that the game has only recently started an open playtest, it has already been tried by over 200 thousand players, and the demo was among the ten most popular projects at last year's Steam Next Fest. The author of Mezha also played a new project from Ukrainian studios in October and shared his impressions.
