The Chinese company UGREEN has introduced the world's first power bank with official Qi 2.2 certification — UGREEN MagFlow 25W.

Qi 2.2 is the latest wireless charging standard from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). It delivers fast wireless charging up to 25W, improves efficiency with magnetic MPP alignment, and reduces the risk of overheating with more precise positioning.

One of the main advantages of Qi 2.2 over previous generations is a stronger magnetic array for more precise alignment, which helps prevent charging voltage drops or overheating. This increases charging efficiency while maintaining compatibility with various types of magnetic cases.

As for the MagFlow 25W, it supports both existing smartphones, including the iPhone, as well as future devices from manufacturers. It is also compatible with Apple's MagSafe magnetic charging system.

While the new power bank supports a wide range of devices, there are currently few smartphones that support at least Qi2. Aside from the iPhone starting with version 12, the only other compatible smartphone is the HMD Skyline.

The UGREEN MagFlow 25W will go on sale in the fall of 2025, but details such as the built-in battery capacity and price are not yet disclosed.
