The Trump Organization, run by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., sons of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, has unveiled the T1 Phone, an Android smartphone that they proudly claim is "made in the USA." However, this claim has raised a lot of doubts, and not without reason.
Creative Strategies analyst Max Weinbach suggested in X that Trump's new smartphone is actually made in China. What's more, he claims that the T1 Phone is a copy of another smartphone, the T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G, which is manufactured in China by Wingtech.
Weinbach also notes that the "made in the USA" label is a dream of the company, which, according to Eric Trump, can be realized later, but for now the smartphone is simply being promoted thanks to patriotic lies.
Interestingly, even during the announcement, users began to notice a somewhat indifferent approach to this smartphone. In particular, the only render of the device lacks a flash, and the description of the smartphone on the official website during the announcement contained an error in the characteristics "5000mAh long life camera".
In the comments under Weinbach's post, users saw similarities between the T1 Phone and several other Chinese devices, including the Ulefone Note 18 Ultra. In any case, both the T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G and the Ulefnoe Note 18 Ultra cost several times less than the Trump Organization's new product - $169 and $139 versus $499.
Another hint that the smartphone is not made in the US is the mention on the official website that "Trump Mobile, its products and services are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by the TrumpSM organization or any of its respective affiliates or directors." However, what is really hidden behind Trump's new smartphone will only be known when or if it hits the market.
In addition, The Wall Street Journal reports that it is impossible to set up smartphone production in America in time for the release of the new device. At the same time, the publication writes that they are still planned to be made in the US, in particular in Alabama, Florida and California.
