The T1 smartphone, which is planned to be released by the company of the family of US President Donald Trump, is no longer positioned as "made in the USA." The corresponding references have disappeared from the company's official website, including a large banner on the main page. This was noticed by journalists from The Verge.
The website has new, vague wording like "built with American values" and "American pride in design" that doesn't confirm the actual location of production or development.
In addition to the change in marketing positioning, the technical specifications have also been adjusted. It was previously announced that the smartphone will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and 12 GB of RAM, but the current version of the site indicates 6.25 inches, and information about the amount of RAM has disappeared altogether. It is possible that Trump Mobile has changed suppliers or the final specification has not yet been approved.
Recall that almost immediately after the announcement of the smartphone, reports from analysts appeared online that the device would actually be manufactured in China.
Initially, deliveries were promised to begin in September 2025. Now, the website only states that the launch is expected "later this year," without a specific timeframe.
The Trump Organization did not respond to media requests for changes in specifications and communications. Despite claims of a "premium product," the T1 remains a project with a significant amount of uncertainty, from its origins to its actual technical capabilities.
