TikTok adds mandatory meditation exercises for teens who use the app at night

- 16 May, 12:37 PM

TikTok has introduced a mandatory meditation feature for users under 18. It turns on after 10 p.m. and forces teens to take a break from scrolling and "relax," Engadget reports.

After 10 p.m., the app will show users a reminder to meditate, and if ignored, a more insistent reminder will appear. According to TikTok, during testing, 98% of users under 18 did not turn off the feature.

Adult users can also activate this feature manually through the time limit settings in the app.

By the way, according to preliminary data, teenagers previously spent an average of 107 minutes per day on TikTok, even with the set limit of 60 minutes.
