TikTok will feature AI-generated advertising

TikTok is betting more on artificial intelligence tools and introducing AI-powered solutions for advertisers. The company will allow the generation of video ads based on images or text.

Advertisers will be able to upload an image of their product, or write a short text query describing the desired result, and TikTok's AI tools will generate a 5-second video based on this that can be used in advertisements.

The innovations will become part of TikTok’s AI offering Symphony and will be called Symphony Image to Video and Symphony Text to Video. The generated five-second videos can also be combined into longer commercials.

TikTok is now introducing Symphony Showcase Products, which will help advertisers showcase their products using digital avatars. To do this, you will need to upload a product image and choose an avatar, after which a short video will also be generated.

All ads on TikTok created using the new AI tools will also be labeled accordingly.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that Meta will also help advertisers fully automate the process of creating ads – from the initial idea to the finished ad. Thus, both TikTok and Meta want to reduce advertisers' costs for creating ads and increase them for distributing them.
