Competitor X, Meta-owned social network Threads, has officially changed its website address from Threads.net to Threads.com. Along with this, the service will receive several improvements to its web version.

Meta said the move to Threads.com would help the social network better compete with X, which also has a short and simple domain. Users who type in Threads.net will automatically be redirected to Threads.com.

As for new features, users will be able to more easily find saved posts, likes, and user feeds. There's also the ability to create new columns, copy posts as images for sharing on Instagram and other apps, and the ability to download an archive of data from X to follow the same users in Threads, if they're already there.

According to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, custom feeds will now appear in the same order as they do on the mobile app, and liked and saved posts are now accessible without the need to pin them to columns.
