The Running Man: trailer for Edgar Wright's new film based on Stephen King's book
Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for The Running Man, a new adaptation of Stephen King's novel, directed by Edgar Wright.
The film tells the story of Ben Richards, who takes part in the popular TV show The Running Man, where participants have to survive for 30 days, avoiding professional killers. For each day of freedom, more and more money is added, but survival is almost impossible, because Richards is hunted not only by mercenaries, but also by ordinary citizens.
Director Edgar Wright, known for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Drive, promises an adaptation that is closer to King's 1982 novel than the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger film.
Starring: Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo, Katie O'Brien, Michael Cera, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, William G. Macy and others. Filming took place in the UK, including at Wembley Stadium.
The Running Man is released on November 7, 2025.
