The trailer for The Paper, the spin-off of the series The Office, has been released

Peacock has released the first trailer for its new series The Paper, a spin-off of the legendary comedy show The Office. The series follows the documentary team that covered Dunder Mifflin as they take on the Toledo Truth Teller.

"The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series "The Office" find a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it," the synopsis reads.

The main character of The Paper will be an ambitious journalist Ned Sampson, played by Domhnall Gleeson. He joins the Toledo Truth Teller as editor-in-chief and begins to implement his grandiose ideas for its revival, starting with the search for seven new interns with no experience in journalism.

There will be many obstacles in his path, from having to share an office with a company that sells toilet paper to constant budget cuts and inexperienced journalists.

The four-episode series The Paper will premiere on September 4, 2025, on Peacock.
