Even before the release of the first episode of the second season of The Last of Us, the streaming service Max confirmed that the series would receive a third season.
The second season will be released on April 14, 2025 on the streaming service Max. In Ukraine, the series will be available on Megogo with Ukrainian dubbing and sign language translation for the hearing impaired. The season will consist of 7 episodes, one each Monday.
The second season of the show will cover the first half of the events of the original game The Last of Us Part 2. Series showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann assure that the third season will be much bigger.
The events of the second season take place five years after the finale of the first season, where the main characters Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsay) face a new, even more dangerous and unpredictable world than before.
The release date for the third season remains unknown.
