Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio founded by veterans of CD Projekt Red, has released a new trailer for its debut project, The Blood of Dawnwalker. The game was shown at the Xbox Games Showcase and is expected to be released in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The story takes place in the fictional medieval valley of Sangora in the Carpathian Mountains, two years after the vampires came to power. The main character will be Cohen, a half-vampire who remains human during the day and has supernatural powers at night. He has 30 days and nights to save his family from the new rulers.
The developers call the game a "narrative sandbox" - with variable passage, choice of allies and side quests. The time system will affect the available opportunities, and the game world will react to the player's actions. The trailer showed the possibilities of movement, battles and the gloomy atmosphere of the fantasy Carpathians of the 14th century.
Rebel Wolves studio was founded by key developers at CD Projekt Red — brothers Konrad and Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz — the former head of development for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 and the lead quest designer for these games.
The project is being created on Unreal Engine 5, and the publisher is Bandai Namco.
Recall that at the Xbox Games Showcase, a trailer for the new part of A Plague Tale — Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy — was also shown. In addition, Microsoft and ASUS introduced ROG Xbox Ally. This is a new portable game console based on Windows 11.
