Rebel Wolves showed 20 minutes of The Blood of Dawnwalker gameplay
Rebel Wolves studio, founded by veterans of CD Projekt Red, has presented a gameplay overview of its new project The Blood of Dawnwalker - a single-player dark fantasy RPG.
The game takes place in a fictional version of 14th century Europe, where vampires have taken over. The protagonist, Cohen, is a half-vampire (Dawnwalker) who balances between humanity and the cursed forces of the night. The story follows the player as they decide whether to fight for their past life or embrace their dark side to save their family.
The new video shows:
- A combat system with evasions, parries, and the use of vampire abilities, including supernatural strength, dashes, and blood abilities;
- An open world that includes urban areas, forests, and Gothic castles where you can explore the environment, search for resources, and interact with NPCs;
- A character development system that allows you to choose between the path of light and darkness;
- Dialogues with choices that affect the plot and the attitudes of other characters;
- A cinematic production similar to The Witcher 3 — with detailed cutscenes;
Rebel Wolves emphasizes that there will be no main or side quests in the game, they are all equal and will shape each player's unique story.
The developers warn that this is a pre-beta version, and significant improvements are possible in the final release. The Blood of Dawnwalker is due out in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
