Tesla has announced increased discounts on its Cybertruck electric pickup truck to help clear out inventory of 2024 models. Discounts have increased from $6,000 to $10,550, depending on the model and terms. The Foundation series is available for up to $10,000, and the Non-Foundation series is available for up to $10,550. In addition, Foundation series buyers will receive free lifetime charging at Supercharger stations.
According to American entrepreneur and Tesla investor Sawyer Merritt, 2025 models, which are eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit, are not included in these discounts. Tesla also plans to release another version of the Cybertruck that will be about $10,000 cheaper but without some features such as air suspension, a trunk lid and an improved interior.
According to NotebookCheck, the Cybertruck ended the first quarter of 2025 as the most popular battery-powered pickup truck in the US, although sales fell short of CEO Elon Musk's expectations.
Tesla plans to expand its market by introducing the Cybertruck in the Middle East, where luxury cars are in high demand. This could help boost sales.
