Tesla has released a video showing the world's first self-driving electric vehicle delivery to a customer without a driver or remote control. A Model Y departed from the Giga Texas factory in Austin and made the journey to the customer's home in about 30 minutes.

According to Tesla, the Model Y crossed parking lots, highways, and city streets along the way, and the maximum speed while driving reached 116 km/h.

The event was commented on by the company's CEO Elon Musk, confirming the autonomous delivery. He emphasized that there was no person in the car, and the control was carried out by autopilot without any remote intervention. According to him, this is the first fully autonomous car on a public highway.

The company had previously shown videos where electric cars rolled off the assembly line and independently arrived at parking spaces, but this was the first time that direct delivery to a customer had taken place.
