Terminator 2D: NO FATE, based on Terminator 2: Judgment Day, will be released in September 2025
British studio Bitmap Bureau and publisher Reef Entertainment present Terminator 2D: NO FATE, a new licensed 2D action game that will combine scenes from Terminator 2: Judgment Day with the original script.
Terminator 2D: NO FATE will allow players to play as Sarah Connor and the T-800, to go through a variety of missions in which they will have to face the no less legendary T-1000 and do everything possible to prevent Skynet from destroying humanity. In the future, players will take on the role of resistance leader John Connor, who leads his fight in a world already devastated by artificial intelligence to protect humanity's last hope.
The game is made in a classic arcade style and pays homage to the "Terminator" universe with authentic arcade gameplay, music and visual effects built from the ground up. The developers recreated the world through detailed 2D sprite art. Bitmap Bureau also reworked the music from the "Terminator 2" soundtrack and added new compositions to further enhance the effect of the active gameplay.
In Terminator 2D: NO FATE, players will face not only the T-1000, but also many other enemies and bosses that Skynet will send in an attempt to destroy the main characters. In addition, each level will have a leaderboard so that players can compete with each other, and for even more variety, the game will receive several modes: story, arcade, endless, Boss Rush, Mother of the Future and training.
Pre-orders are now open for the Xbox Series X|S and One, PlayStation 5 and 4, and Nintendo Switch versions, including a physical edition. The game will also be available for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store, but there are no Terminator 2D: NO FATE pages on those stores yet. It will be released on September 5, 2025.
