- 12 June, 04:05 PM

Stellar Blade was released on PC on June 11. After the game was released exclusively for PlayStation 5 on April 26, 2024, the developers from Shift UP also released it on Steam, where it immediately showed the second best online result among all Sony exclusives.

According to SteamDB, Stellar Blade's online peak on Steam has already exceeded 150,000 players. Of course, the game is inferior to the online cooperative Helldivers 2, which immediately appeared on PlayStation and Steam. However, if we compare it with single-player games, the peak online of the novelty is already twice as high as the next closest game.

  • Helldivers 2 – 458,709;
  • Stellar Blade – 156,647;
  • Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT – 77,154;
  • God of War – 73,529;
  • Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered - 66,436.

Currently on Steam, the game has received "overwhelmingly positive" reviews from players. Most of all, they are probably happy with the game's excellent optimization for PC and the absence of technical problems after several unsuccessful previous ports of games from PlayStation. In addition, they note the dynamic gameplay, soundtrack and other elements of the game.

We remind you that Stellar Blade is an action/adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic world where the future of humanity hangs in the balance. Mysterious and powerful creatures have exterminated almost all of Earth's former inhabitants, and those who survived have found refuge in deep space. Players take on the role of Eve and are sent to their home planet with a clear mission - to save humanity and reclaim Earth.

Mezha rated Stellar Blade 7 out of 10. The review notes the powerful visuals, interesting boss battles, and impressive combat animations, but complains about the shallow plot, platforming levels, and some elements of the combat system. At the same time, on review aggregators like MetaCritic, Stellar Blade has even better ratings – 81 points from critics and as much as 9.2 from players. The situation is similar on OpenCritic – 82 and 90, respectively.
