Wargaming's heroic mech shooter Steel Hunters will be released in early access on April 2, 2025
Wargaming, known for its World of Tanks and World of Warships franchises, has announced that its recently unveiled original hero IP, Steel Hunters, will officially launch in Early Access on April 2, 2025.
According to the studio, the early access phase will allow the community to influence the game's development through feedback before its full release. The developers have promised to reveal more details about this approach after the early access phase begins.
Steel Hunters is a mech-hero shooter that combines battle royale and extraction shooter modes. Players will take control of large mechanical giants – Hunters – and participate in PvPvE battles, pursuing different types of targets. To do this, you will have to level up, get new equipment and choose your own play style, combining different sets of abilities and progression systems.
Players will have a variety of Hunter types to choose from, including Razorside, Heartbreaker, Fenris, Ursus, Trenchwalker, Prophet, and Weaver, each armed with devastating abilities to dominate battlefields like Crimson Ridge, Maryland Heights, and the Quarry.
Among other things, Ukrainian studio Wargaming Kyiv is working on Steel Hunters, creating concepts and the appearance of the Hunters. More details about the game can be found on the official website or on the Steam page.
