Wargaming's new free-to-play heroic mech shooter, Steel Hunters, is now available in Early Access on Steam. The game, with Ukrainian localization, combines battle royale and extraction mechanics, allowing players to control powerful combat vehicles - Hunters.
With the Early Access release, the developers will focus on gathering feedback, refining mechanics, and improving the overall gameplay. In addition to optimization, the team will also focus on new features and content.
Early Access will feature seven hunters, each with unique abilities: Razorside, Heartbreaker, Fenris, Ursus, Trenchwalker, Prophet, and Weaver. Another hunter will be introduced during Early Access.
In Steel Hunters, players will be able to fight on three dynamic maps with destructible environments - Crimson Ridge, Maryland Heights and Stonemason's Keep. The main game mode is The Last Frontier. The updated System Tree will replace the old progression system, offering four branches of development and a simplified but effective skill tree with gradual improvement.
Starting April 2nd, Steel Hunters servers will be up and running continuously, and all progress made in Early Access will carry over into the official release. This includes all items and achievements earned during testing.
Along with early access, Steel Hunters will also have a Battle Pass that will run until April 29. It is free and allows players to level up their hunters, unlock exclusive skins, and receive various rewards like boosters and credits.
