Elon Musk: SpaceX will receive about $15.5 billion in revenue in 2025

Elon Musk said SpaceX will generate about $15.5 billion in revenue this year, signaling the company's growing presence in the commercial space sector. He said that next year, SpaceX's revenue from space activities will exceed NASA's estimated $1.1 billion budget for space missions.

While NASA is investing in deep space missions and scientific projects, SpaceX is actively making money from cheaper commercial launches and satellite communications. The company is developing a giant 122-meter-high Starship rocket, which Musk plans to be the key to sending people to Mars. By the way, SpaceX recently conducted the ninth test launch of Starship, during which it lost both stages of the rocket.

The company's reusable Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets have significantly reduced the cost of launches, allowing SpaceX to become a leader in the global launch market.

2024 was a record year for the company, with 134 launches, more than any other year. In 2025, SpaceX plans an even more ambitious figure of 170 launches.

The main source of income remains Starlink satellite internet. Musk has repeatedly spoken about plans to take the service to an IPO, but so far without specific dates.

Starlink reached breakeven in November 2023. Thanks to it, SpaceX has already launched thousands of satellites into orbit to provide internet access around the world.

By the way, according to Reuters, SpaceX, together with its partners, is also claiming a key role in creating elements of the Golden Dome anti-missile shield, an initiative launched by President Donald Trump.
