Sony launches Xperia 10 VII with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip and updated Pixel-like camera design
Sony has officially announced the Xperia 10 VII, its new mid-range smartphone with a refreshed design. The new model features a Google Pixel-style horizontal camera module, a dedicated camera button, and a number of improvements over its predecessor.
Xperia 10 VII is equipped with a dual rear camera. The main sensor is a 50 MP Sony Exmor RS with increased light sensitivity, phase-detection autofocus across the entire frame plane and HDR support. The second sensor is a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 120° viewing angle. For selfies, there is an 8 MP front camera. The smartphone has a dedicated button that allows you to instantly launch the camera and take pictures, even if the screen is locked.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device also received Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The novelty is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded up to 2 TB using microSD. The 5000 mAh battery supports fast charging. The smartphone runs on Android 15 and will receive four years of OS updates and six years of security patches.
Other features include stereo speakers, a 3.5mm jack, IP65/68 protection, and support for Circle to Search and Google Gemini.
The Xperia 10 VII is 8.3mm thick and weighs 168g and is available in three colours. The device is priced at €449 in Europe. Pre-orders are now open and sales will begin on 19 September 2025.
