The new Sony WH-1000XM6 will debut on May 15, 2025

Sony has officially announced the date of the presentation of the new WH-1000XM6 headphones - the event will take place on May 15, 2025. The day before, details about the new product appeared on the network thanks to a leak from Amazon Spain.

The WH-1000XM6 will get a new QN3 HD noise cancellation processor, which is seven times faster than the previous QN1 chip in the XM5. This is expected to significantly improve noise cancellation efficiency and sound quality. The headphones will also have a six-microphone system with AI support for improved call quality. It is also known that they will retain the mini-Jack.

The headphones will cost $449, a $50 increase over the original price of the XM5. Since the previous model was only slightly better than the XM4, the WH-1000XM6 is expected to be a significant improvement.
