CD Projekt Red has warned fans on social media that any invitations to the beta test of their upcoming game The Witcher 4 are fraudulent and that the company is taking the necessary measures.
At the same time, the Polish studio asks users who come across such invitations to report them using available tools in the mail or on social networks.
"Remember: professional monster slayers don't fall for scams; they see right through them and slay them!", CD Projekt Red said in a statement.
CD Projekt Red also emphasizes that any beta testing for The Witcher 4 or other projects will only be announced through official channels, such as the website or social media.
We remind you that CD Projekt Red presented the first trailer for The Witcher 4 during The Game Awards in December 2024. The biggest sensation was the change in the main character: players will no longer control Geralt, but the adult witcher Ciri, which caused considerable indignation among some fans.
Aside from the trailer and the news that Ciri will be voiced by a new actress, there are still few details about The Witcher 4. However, it is known for sure that the game will not be released before 2027.
