Konami has released a Japanese-language release trailer for Silent Hill f and confirmed the game will be released on September 25, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC . Owners of the digital Deluxe Edition will be able to start playing on September 23.

The trailer shows the town of Ebisugaoka in 1960s Japan, infected with a "flower" infection. The main character, Hinako Shimizu, explores locations, solves puzzles, and engages in close combat with deformed creatures. The script was written by Ryukishi07, the author of the When They Cry visual novel series , and the music was composed by Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage.

By the way, the game has already received its first ratings on Metacritic and Opencritic:

  • GameSpot notes the "strategic" close combat with parrying and resource management.
  • IGN calls the plot "dark and gripping", but finds the combat system controversial.
  • CNET criticizes the visual "flatness" of the characters, despite generally positive evaluation of the style.

Pre-orders are open on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store. The Deluxe Edition adds a digital artbook, soundtrack, and Pink Rabbit costume.
