The Galaxy S22 series will likely miss out on key AI features from One UI 7

Samsung is continuing to roll out the One UI 7 update to its devices after a pause in the rollout. The firmware has also appeared on one of the Galaxy S22 models, although these smartphones have not officially started receiving the update yet. However, as it turned out, this update does not bring many of the new artificial intelligence features that are available on newer models, such as the Galaxy S24 or S25.

A video posted on Reddit (via Sammobile) shows One UI 7 in action on the Galaxy S22+ via Remote Test Lab, an app testing tool. It shows that features like Audio Eraser, which removes noise from videos, and the new Drawing Assist interface are missing from the Galaxy S22. Additionally, the Now Bar, a dynamic UI element, is limited to media controls, whereas it offers more features on newer devices.

According to the latest information, the update for the S22 series is expected next month. Galaxy S22 owners should note that the new AI features remain exclusive to the newer flagships.
