Samsung has announced a change to the revenue sharing model in its Galaxy Store app store.
Starting May 15, 2025, developers will receive 80% of sales revenue, while the store's share will be 20%. Currently, the revenue ratio is 70% in favor of developers and 30% for the Galaxy Store.
The new terms apply to all paid apps, including games, themes, and both in-app and non-in-app items. In comparison, the Google Play Store maintains a 70/30 ratio but offers lower fees for developers with up to $1 million in annual revenue.
This move is aimed at attracting new developers to the Galaxy Store and supporting existing ones, and also shows the company's desire to better compete with other platforms such as the Google Play Store.
