Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8 beta program based on Android 16 for the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones. The update is currently available to owners of supported devices in South Korea, the UK, Germany, and the US. As for the stable version, it will first appear on the foldable Galaxy Flip 7 and Fold 7 this summer, SamMobile reports.
To join the test, you need to download the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy Store, log in to your personal account and select the One UI 8 Beta Program. After that, the update will be available on your device. So far, this is possible starting with the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra in Germany, Korea, the UK and the US.
In addition, SamMobile also writes that Samsung has released a list of changes that users will see in One UI 8. Among the changes are performance improvements, such as easier file uploads and sharing via Quick Share, an updated Internet connection menu, more options for connecting external monitors via Samsung Dex, and improved display of two apps on one smartphone screen.
Samsung has also updated its reminders features, introducing a new interface and simplifying the process of creating them, including integration with the Calendar app. In addition, the Camera app has received a new feature: swiping up or down will open quick settings.
One UI 8 introduces enhanced Secure Folders, where you can add apps to hide their notifications when your phone is locked. These folders can be completely hidden and encrypted.
Although there were no interface updates this time, overall One UI 8 received many improvements.
